(BEACH) Where I'm from

Where i’m from I dive in the icci water like a mermaid
Birds circle me as if their security guards.
When I swim the water slaps me across the face as if it’s a live.
When i’m in the water I smell barbecue cooking up the hill.
Where i’m from I hear humble people walking on the sand whistling.
I swam as if I was the furrow of the fish.

Were i’m from I water the gardens every day.
I dug through the ground as if I was a dog
I ran rapidly racing my self.
I run Right around my tree and I tripped over a stick as if a angry boy tripped me up.

  1. Hi Piriniha,
I found your poem very interesting. As I read through it I was able to relate to some of it from my experiences. Your writing made a connection. Well done Piriniha.
