Marsh Mallow

As the darkness is rapping and gripping the forest there came a Sea monster. There was a boy called Melvin Cooking marshmallow until a Sea monster came. Melvin Didn't know till he heard a crack from a twig. He turned around and saw a big monster. He “SCREAMED” like a girl.


The monster didn’t hurt him because he saw a marshmallow and sounded like a puppy. Melvin through it all way and the monster went hunting for them as if they were treasure. There was only one more marshmallow so melvin took it and had it in his hand but the sea monster grabbed it with his sharp teeth and bit off melvins hand.




The sea monster ran with melvin on his back to the hospital.

Prince - Christmas in the park

Me my sister and her boyfriend went to Panmure. We went to pick up our friends. Their names are Merana and Tai. We went to train to Britomart and my sister and her boyfriend went to go to his brothers house then we walked to the museum.

Finally we were there so we went to find a spot to sit so our legs can rest and we watched the big screen. Well I was sitting down I saw four of my friends. They are Amos, Lepa, Jefty, and Starford. My sister Texted my friend and said were here now and so we had to look for them.


We went up a hill and we went by the stage but my sister wasn’t there. Then we got a text again saying meet me at the Scream machine. so we went and we saw them with my sister’s boyfriend’s mum. We went to  the sides by the toilets and watched.



We saw Titanium and guy sebastian. We had to go so we walked down to britomart. My sister boyfriends name is Nathan. Nathan's mum bought us some tickets to train back. We went back to Glen Innes and my two friends went to Panmure. Then we went to walk home.

Net Books.

This year has been the second year we have used our netbooks. We don’t use our books we draw on them because we do our stuff on our netbooks. My favorite thing on my netbook is playing games. Most time I listen to songs.

Bush Narative

At night there was some trees and bushes that had very dark places were criminals can hide. The forest was called Hide out. Once there were some American Soldiers and a naughty man that murdered some people. The Soldiers ran at night searching for the bad man. His name was Kayde.


The Soldiers Were looking for him to hang him because he kept killing until he got his money. In jail when he got bailed out he asked for his money and the officer said how much did you have and Kayde said 10 cents. The officer said we can not afford that.


He killed 954 000 soldiers because he didn't get his 10 cent. The party of soldiers had an idea they said we will place 10 cent on the ground and he will grab it and we will be hiding and then take him to the crowd and hang him.




Kayde saw 10 cent but he knew it wasn’t his special one. He heard some whispering saying he’s falling for it. But no because that is were he put his trap were the soldiers are.
 

A Barn Of Zombies.

Although the sun had started to rise I still couldn’t see  because the fog was so thick. I shivered and zipped up my jacket. Through the haze I saw the shape of the barn so I reached out to feel were I was going. On the way were I was going I step in some muddy puddles.


Suddenly I heard moaning in the barn. I grabbed my torch and went up the ladder  That was on the side of the barn. I shone my light through the window and saw some zombies I screamed and dropped my touch. I said what should I do.I ran and saw a house I broke in and luckily I saw a phone. I rang my grandpa he said “I will come after my coffee” I said no there is something really wrong. Is it badder then when I brushed aunt Sophie’s teeth. “Yep”. I'm at 123 fake street.


I found some fireworks inside the house. I had a solution I got the fireworks and lit it up from the stove and ran outside. I shot them at the barn and it turned into fire and it burned some zombies but there were still a few more left then I climbed the ladder and Bang went the firework as I shot the firework in the Barn. The wicks shot and all of the colouring fireworks. And one firework shot at a zombie and it went through the wall. It was all over.


My Grandpa came and said what happened. I killed the zombies and burnt a barn down and I do not need you any more you can finish your coffee now. “This was my friend house” my grandpa said. I said do you want a firework. He said “Yes please”.  I got them from inside a empty house. “cool” he said By the way the taxi cost $200.

Pt England Reserve beach

At Point england reserve we have a beach that has a big long rock. We call it the groyne. People jump of it to go into the water or to do bombs. I jump of it because I like to do front flips and to do bombs. It was cold so I wrapped the blanket over me. My teeth were chattering as if they were little tiny worker making lot’s of noise.



Bang in my eye saying what was that until I looked up and saw these lights coming out of the grey clouds. I ran for shelter but then water was dripping from the shelter that I was in it was raining as well. So I had to run to another shelter I went to a tree but I kept getting wet until I said “Yes I know were to go”. I went under the building by the toilets.



I saw a man jumped in the water and there were crabs crawling in the sea and snipped his toe. So the man had to go and get a plasta. But then the current got strong. So the man nevered jumped back in so he had to freez. His body had goosebumps and his teeth were chattering.



I was excited that I was going to the beach. But then it started to rain so I was quite angry. So I had a solution. Who cares because it was hot so I can swim in rain. I even slid on the grass. When I stood up I was soggy as if I am a paper that is in water.

Tommy Kapai Wilson

In the weekend.

In the week end I went to takanini. I was with my cousin and her name is Dena. I was on her PS2 playing Tony Hawks underground and Tony hawks Pro skater. My cousin like’s to play skating games cars,shooting, and all kind of stuff. Her favorite one is Tony Hawks pro skater.



The next day my little nephew wanted to go to the park. So we went and this lady asked if we wanted some lollies and I said no thank you. But my little nephew said yes please so he went to grab a hand full. Then we went to play on the park. I had to push him on the swing then he wanted to play with the ball. I threw the ball across the field flying in the sky like it was a aer plane.


At the park I saw a girl and she said “do you want to play kicks” and I said “yep”. But there was a dog running around and the girl that asked me if I wanted to play it was her’s .She didn’t mind about the puppy running around the park until it was eating a dead bird. The girl kicked the dog telling him  take that bird out of your mouth. The bird smelt and looked ugly with teeth marks in it. Then we went home I said to my self were is the ball.

Cross country.

It was Cross Country and to start with we had to sit until all age group had their turn. Finally it was up to us. I ran as fast as I could but then  mud was splattering all around me which was a putt off. I was puffed out and Drained energy. I was mostly behind but it was alright because I caught up to other people. It was really exhausted and I was dreading. The Tracks were treacherous with mud all around it so mud splattered on my back like it was hunting me.


I had aching muscles and I was straining to come at least under 5th. It was really muddy. I kept having little breaks to catch my breath. Then there was my friends and their name is Tevita and Melvin. We ran together then My friend Tevita ran away and boosted it to come 1st but he never.


Then there was the finish line I had a burst of speed running to it and all I can hear was go Piri go. Then I had a rest and then cleaned by legs because I was muddy.

Prince Olympic rotation.

As I was walking to the hall the rain was striking me as if it was a meteor shower. When we were there my captain said “Line up”. I said “What are we doing?” I found out. We were doing a rotation of sports games and all kind of stuff. It was the olympics rotation.

The activities that we were doing was because it was raining and
the teachers wanted to see the Juniors play. The best part of the olympic day was the little kids kept joking around. The one thing that I like about the Olympic day is what house team would win and I always think is going to be Tainui.


The first rotation that we had to do was a relay. We had to grab a tennis ball and put it between our legs and run and put it in the bucket. Then we went to sing star and my friend he wanted to sing so he sang a song called I want to dance with somebody. The it was my team leader Toko he sang Don’t ya.


The third place we had to go was the fitness. We had a soccer ball and we had to zigzag the cones then pick up the ball and balance on the walking thing and then jump over the table then go under the other table then put the ball down then kick it in the net. The last rotation we had to go was a dancing one. It was boring we had to copy what they were doing.

Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong had an Lunar space mission . He went to the space rocket and flew up to the moon. He is the commander of space rocket apollo 11. It was 1969 When he stepped on the moon he said  “One step for man” “One big giant leap for mankind” as every one of america thinks he’s a hero but Neil say he doesn't want  to be a hero.



Neil Armstrong is now a monumental historic event. There is a statue of him too. Now that he has passed away people will remember for mankind and generations. America mourns the loss of their lost hero.

Smoking Is Bad by Piriniha and Melvin

If you smoke you have a greater chance of dying faster. Also do not persuade people to smoke or else they will be a follower.  My advice to you is to never start smoking.


Smoking is bad for you because it has more than 4000 chemicals in every cigarette which can affect your health.   These chemical can cause different diseases such as cancer and heart problems which give you a greater chance of dying. If you smoke then you will affect your children's health as well because they might already have a sickness and the smoke will make them sicker.

Smoking is also hard to quit because it is addictive. If you try to stop smoking you will probably stress a lot. When you first smoke you get a sense of pleasure but trying to quit will make you very desperate.

Smoking also affects your appearance. If you smoke very young you will grow up pretty ugly because it gives you smelly breath. It also dries up your skin so you will look older.  

If you rather like smoking than eating vegetables you will have a bad life wasting your money on smokes. You could spend about $100 a week if you smoke a whole pack a day.

Teenagers smoke to look cool. Why do they need it? They need it because once they start, their mind is going to say I need lots more than one, I need a thousand. When your mind says something  like needing smokes it's going to want more. Teenagers need to say no if their friends are trying to persuade them to smoke.

The audience are trying to hold their breath as the weightlifter muscle are straining. The man is struggling from lifting the heavy weights. He is trying to focus about what he is doing it for. He is doing it for gold. His arms are fool with veins and he’s trying to balance the bar of the weights. He’s imagining that he is th strongest in the world. He say to himself do never give up

Joshua Iosefo,

Joshua Iosefo, is set as a prefect at Mt Roskill Grammar. He wrote an inspirational speech called Brown Brother. It was the first time he performed it in school. The person who videoed it was his friend Rashad.



This video had a message to it, and it was telling the brown people especially to stop believing into stereotypes because they are not true. His speech relates to some messages that we have at our school here such as, Strive to Succeed, Champions Never Give Up and much much more.




His friend that put the video on Youtube. Yeah well Cable Live saw it and he asked if he wanted to be on 3 News so he said yes. It was the first time he performed in front of a Television.  

Art Alive

Matisse and picasso

Picasso was born on 25 october 1881. He was famous because of his drawings. He's famous because his pictures look different because when they're far away he'd draw them small and when they're close up he drew them big or on the sides. They look funny. So I think he combines them to make it look cool.


Matisse was born on 31 december 1869. He wasn’t just an oil painter he did cut out papers too. His teacher said to him he would never learn how to draw. But then his work started to increase. Then his teacher was inspired.



Did you know how to contrast two painting? The weeping woman and the girl with the hat, show that Picasso and Matisse uses contrasting and vibrant colours.

Kiwikick

As I was Arriving to Kiwi Kick my teeth were chattering and my body was covered in goose bumps. My class was all cold. I had num hands so I briskly rubbed my hands to get all the numbnous away.We learnt some moves, one was the Drop punt. The rules are laces away from faces. My favorite skill in Kiwikick was the speckie.

Our coaches names were Sam,Mike and Anita. Sams Nickname was sandwich and Anita's Nickname was Butter chicken. Mikes Nickname was mikeraphone. I made a joke about Anita and Sandwich. Anita Sandwich. Get it? I need a Sandwich.

Week 2: We learnt the pirate pass. You got to step forward and act like your holding a Ice-cream and then hit the ball. We had to be in teams to learn how to do it but I already knew how to do it. Because last year I was doing kiwi kick.


Last week: We never learnt anything new we just played  a game of Kiwikick but different. We had to play on the field pretending like there was a river in the middle. We had to drop punt it over the river. I drop punted it and it went flying if they dropped the ball we get a point. I got 12 people out but our  team lost.

Daniella Hulme

Daniella Hulme is a New Zealand artist whose artworks “ Abundance” Is inspired By the Pacific Island. She incorporates Flowers,Fruit, the sea and the Island in this painting. her style is smooth and simplistic. The use of vibrant colours conveys a mood of happyness. She painted the mountain in the back round is small because it is far if you were close up it would be big.

Vincent Van Gogh Is famous because he painted over 900 painting. In his painting called Starry night it shows village beside some hills. It is one of his most famous paintings. The sky also look likes an ocean because his technique was to use bold and thick dark outlines and swirls. He has rough brushstrokes to show shimmering stars.

Hydroslide

As I walk into the pools I brought me a Hydroslide bracelet so I can go on the long Hydroslide. The first time I went down it was dark and you can not see anything but I could because my glowing bracelet. "The water is warm," I said to myself . I knew why it was warm . It was because I had been in the cold pool for whille and then when I entered the building it was nice and cosy.

Picnic

"We went to the Point England reserve then we set up all the stuff we need. Then our principle said go off and have a good time remember its just about fun. So I went to soft ball and I was rotating around and first I was pitcher and then base one then it was our turn to do bating. The ball came straight at me. Whack I hit the ball and it was flying. Tea-ball its a game that when you have abase thing and a pole to hold the ball on top of it and you “SMACK” it. I was first and I put the tea ball up and then I went “Smack” and there it was flying like a aeroplane. The ball almost went in to the water but then by friend sprinted it and he just got it. I went to volley ball there was a cople of girls and boys but we kept wining. But then a few of the other people came in our team so I went in there team five verse five. We were losing and then we started topping up and in till it was a draw. One more round as we go who ever wins and who ever lose they have to run all the way to the beach five times but they lied. As the ball flew up my tall friend hit it down on there lane we won. Later on we had a kareoke. A few people was singing but it was mostly the ten year olds. I was going to sing but I was to shy so I never. It was a bit shaming. So I watch them sing most of them Didn’t even Know the words."

We are going to see a famous person and his name is Ben Carson. When he was Young he had a violence temperature. But now he doesn't have what he had when he was Young. He is a Doctor right now



Ben Carson was born in detroit. His pareants was devours. With great diffaculty Sonya had to rasise Ben and Curtis. There mum was kicked out on 3rd grade and got married when she was 13. Ben was the lowst grade in his class and people called him domiee. Then his mum said no more T.V and go to the libary and raed 2 books each week. He read a book about rocks and his teacher brang this rock and his teacher said dose any one know what this black rock is called. Ben was waiting for some one to put there hand up but no one did so he did and said it was a opcityem.


Ben's favorite game was throwing rocks at cars. Because police would come and Ben would run on to the fields and the police had though they trapped them with a 13 meter gates but no they could jump over it. But the police couldn't jump the fence and so Ben would get smart over the fence.

Curtes some bubble gum or some thing to eat mummy. Then his mum said sorry son we don’t have that kind of money. So Bens mum had to do three jobs some times.

Piriniha the beach

When I got to the beach I hopped in the water and my teeth were chattering. When I got out the wind was zooming through the air. I had goosebumps. The water had a really bad current so I hopped into my blanket and stayed warm.
